Woodgate Mountain Retreat: 40 Acres of Peace!

This beautiful retreat is located just minutes from the town Montrose. Open the patio doors and step onto the deck to enjoy the sight and sounds of the Uncompahgre River flowing through the acreage. There is also a stream on the property that leads to a pond. Don’t mind the deer that live in the adjoining thicket, they love the apples from our tree as much as we do.
During the summer months with use of the sod cabin, our place sleeps 20. During the winter months, our place sleeps 16.

On the main floor is the heart of the house, a gathering space which includes an open plan kitchen, living room, dining areas and a game table. Be sure to light the fire. Sit back and relax.
Adjacent to the gathering area is the library with a queen size sleeper sofa and the ensuite master bedroom with a king size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa. The two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has full-size bunk beds. The home is set up to comfortably sleep 12 people.

Across a breezeway is an apartment above the garage. You will find a fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable living room which has a queen size pull-out couch. Off of the living room is a gorgeous deck with amazing views! The apartment also has one bedroom with a queen size bed, and a full bathroom with stand-up shower.

This property also boasts a lovingly-restored sod house—be sure to note the live green roof! The one-room sod home has a small kitchen and full bath. The two full size beds are located at one end of the open space. The sod house sleeps four and is available to reserve in addition to the main house May through September, weather permitting.

With all three of these units, our place can sleep 20 people. During the winter months without the use of the sod cabin, our place sleeps 16.

You will have access to the entire home, the apartment above the garage, and gorgeous porch and backyard--there is also river access!

This home is professional cleaned, and the linens are professionally laundered. We pay our cleaners a living wage.

Located just minutes from town, but you'll feel like you're in the middle of the mountains!

PLEASE NOTE: Fishing on the river is acceptable with an appropriate fishing license, but is catch and release ONLY.

**PLEASE NOTE: The sod house on the property is available to rent from May 1st through September 30th. The house sleeps an additional 4 people. The total number of guests the house and the apartment above the garage sleeps without the use of the sod house is 16.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 5 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 5 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
